Video: Cee Lo re-records 'Forget You' hit to thank firefighters

Singer Cee Lo Green's mother was a volunteer firefighter

By FireRescue1 Staff

Singer Cee Lo Green is thanking firefighters with a new song and music video.

Green has a special tie to the firefighting community which he sings about in the song – his mother was a volunteer firefighter.

Also, when he was 16 years old his mother was rescued from a near-fatal car accident by volunteer firefighters.

The recently released song, "Thank You," is a re-recording of his Grammy Award-winning track "Forget You."

The music video features firefighters and was put together for NVFC and Duracell's Power Those Who Protect Us battery donation program that helps firehouses with out-of-pocket power expenses.
