SC firefighter dies at crash scene

Firefighter David Crenshaw was treated at scene, transported to medical facility where has was pronounced dead from cardiac arrest

PENDLETON, S.C. — A volunteer firefighter in Anderson County, S.C., collapsed at the scene of a wreck on Monday.

Ex-Fire Chief and active Firefighter David Crenshaw, 63, of the Pendleton Fire Department responded to an accident and collapsed. He was treated at the scene and transported to a medical facility where has was pronounced dead from cardiac arrest.

Firefighter Crenshaw had been a member of the department for more than 50 years.
