LODD of Ohio volunteer fire chief caused by heart attack

LEWISVILLE, Ohio — An Ohio volunteer fire chief died from a heart attack while working at a tanker fill site Sunday.

Chief Gregory S. Baker, 52, of Lewisville Volunteer Fire Department, was responding to a structure fire when he became ill. Fellow responders put him on a heart monitor and called for a medical helicopter.

The helicopter flew Chief Baker to a hospital in Wheeling, W. Va., where he died from an apparent heart attack several hours later.
