On Oct. 26, at 1500 HRS, Fort Oglethorpe and Catoosa County (Ga.) firefighters were dispatched to a possible shed fire behind a home at 1283 North Three Notch Road. First-arriving firefighters immediately reported a fully involved structure with two vehicles involved and several exposures. Within seconds, Catoosa County Engine 3 arrived on the scene. Firefighters quickly pulled a 1 ¾" hoseline and started working to cool exposures and initiate a primary attack on the fire.

Within minutes, Fort Oglethorpe Engine’s 1 and 8 arrived on the scene. Engine 8 brought a supply hose from a nearby fire hydrant while firefighters from Engine 1 quickly pulled a second hoseline from Engine 3 and started a secondary attack. Fire crews worked together to rapidly extinguishing the fire. Within a matter of minutes, the fire went from a blazing inferno to a smoldering hot spot. The shed and one Volkswagen Beatle were considered a total loss, and a pickup truck sustained heavy damage. There were no reports of any injuries in connection with the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
