Video: Lack of SCBA at house, vehicle fire

Several commenters online expressed dismay at the lack of full PPE

COLUMBIA, Miss. — Footage of firefighters responding to a fire in Mississippi has prompted criticism over safety and PPE from the firefighting community.

The video, posted on Saturday, shows the firefighters attacking flames at a structure and adjacent vehicles in Columbia.

Several commenters on the firefighting blog STATter911 expressed dismay at the lack of SCBA in use as firefighters stood near the flames, while FR1 Editorial Advisor Chief. Adam K. Thiel offers his thoughts here.
